Senior Documentary and Video Editor and Producer - Climate and Sustainability Videos and a Feature Documentary
Worldview Films is an Emmy-nominated video production company that is wholeheartedly doing something to help with the climate crisis and other critically important issues facing humanity right now. Our mission is to use video to help people understand complex and critical ideas in a way that helps the world. We are right in the middle of the action, often leading the way. It's a small team right now, but with lots of opportunities to grow and make a larger impact. You'll be getting in on the ground floor with this position, and it may grow quickly.
Worldview Films is producing a feature-length documentary and developing a TV show that looks at what humans are doing to try to solve the climate crisis. We're working closely with many of the companies in the burgeoning offshore wind industry on the East coast of the US.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Worldview Films is looking for a full-time video producer to lead documentary and branded video projects. This is a good fit for someone with experience as a one-person-band producer, although there will be shoots with larger crews, or someone with experience leading a team working in each part of production. Most importantly, it's important that you are a skilled and creative lead video editor. You'll get in on the ground floor and be in a position to grow as quickly as the company does, working closely with the founder.
You'll lead production of projects and will be involved in all aspects from pre-production, to production to post-production and editing. You'll be intimately involved in working on the feature documentary as well as videos for clients such as those in the offshore wind and other renewable energy and sustainability fields, and many others.
You'll be in a position that can grow rapidly, possibly eventually overseeing junior producers. You should be able to work hard, be a self-starter, know how to take ownership of projects and be proactive. You'll report directly to the founder and CEO.
Other tasks will include administration, making proposals, creating decks, creating and maintaining social media posts, market research, filming and more. We all wear many hats in the company.
